GLEN ELLYN – Glen Ellyn residents will have the chance to welcome the arrival of warm, sunny weather with the Taste of Glen Ellyn, which runs Thursday through Sunday this week and features a variety of food and entertainment for all ages.

“We want to have a little something to appeal to as many groups as we can,” said Georgia Koch, co-executive director of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s Taste will feature 16 local restaurants, as well as other food vendors. New this year is Cape May Crab Cake Factory.

The food vendors will be located at the Main Street parking lot next to Giesche Shoes, 400 N. Main St. A business expo featuring both local and non-local businesses will be held in the parking lot as part of the Taste as well. A craft fair will take place along Main Street between Hillside Avenue and Duane Street.

The Village Fair, featuring a variety of rides, will begin 5 p.m. Wednesday, before the rest of the Taste festivities. Rides will be located on Crescent Boulevard, just west of Main Street. For wristband specials, visit www.glenellynchamber.com.

There are a variety of new entertainment acts this year, who will be performing on a stage near the Main Street parking lot.

The Taste of Glen Ellyn will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 12 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 12 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Chamber staff and volunteers will be at the Taste to make sure everything runs smoothly.

“We want to be there because we want it to be the best experience it can be for our residents and our community,” Koch said. “That’s what we do.”
