North High School student's art to be displayed at U.S. Capitol

DOWNERS GROVE – North High School junior Katie Berendt received the First Place Award at the 32nd annual United States Congressional Art Show, and her piece, "Free From Captivity," will hang in the United States Capitol next year.

She and a family member will be flown to Washington, D.C. for the show's opening reception.
