Phase 2 of Finley Road project to begin Monday

Published: Friday, May 17, 2013 12:11 p.m. CDT

LOMBARD – The second phase of the Finley Road improvement project is scheduled to begin Monday morning and will cause traffic delays and detours until its completion sometime in the fall.

The Finley Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project began last year as an initiative that will replace all curbs and gutters, repair sidewalks and driveway entrances, replace the watermain and other infrastructure and complete a concrete pavement overly project.

Beginning Monday, there will be a detour between Madison Street and Crescent Boulevard. Northbound traffic will be prohibited and southbound traffic will travel through the construction zone and be subject to delays.

Any residents living within the construction zone will be restricted from using their driveways during curb work and will receive notices before the work begins. Temporary parking permits will be available to residents affected by construction.

Questions about the project can be directed to the village's Public Works Department at 630-620-5740.
