Chase Street railroad closing extends another week

WHEATON – The street closure at the Chase Street railroad crossing will continue almost a week past its scheduled date, according to a release from the city's engineering department.

Originally scheduled from June 3 to June 14, the maintenance and track replacement will extend until Thursday, June 20. Traffic will continue to be detoured for both northbound and southbound vehicles to President Street. The release said that the closure will not affect Prairie Path traffic.
