Luggage and fishing equipment stolen

More than $500 in luggage and fishing equipment was stolen from a front porch in the 300 block of South Seventh Avenue at 8:53 a.m. June 9.

Man urinates out of vehicle

A man urinated out of his vehicle while stopped at a red light at Burlington Avenue and La Grange Road, a man reported at 11:48 p.m. June 8. The complainant did not sign a formal complaint, and the alleged offender was not cited because no officers observed the incident. The man denied urinating out of his car.

Holes from BB gun pellets found in house window

A woman found holes she believed to be from BB gun pellets in the window in the 100 block of Bassford Avenue, she reported at 4:59 p.m. June 8.

Waitress threatened by unhappy patrons

Two patrons upset that their food wasn’t served in a timely manner screamed obscenities at a waitress at Chequers of La Grange at 9:49 p.m. June 7. After leaving, they called back and told the waitress they would sue her for pushing one of them out of the restaurant. The responding officer reported that the patrons were intoxicated.

Kids left at house unattended for four days

A woman reported that her ex-husband left their kids, 16 and 12, at his house unattended for four days. The report was made at 8:58 p.m. June 7.

Western Springs

Credit card fraud

Someone stole a credit card and used it to make an illegal purchase in the amount of $620.95 at a retail store in the 4000 block of Garden Avenue. The transaction occurred on or about May 21.

Criminal damage to property and vehicle

Someone intentionally punctured three tires on a vehicle that was parked in a driveway in the 4200 block of Ellington Avenue. The offender also broke a second-floor window by throwing several eggs at it. The incident occurred between 5:30 p.m. June 4 and 8 a.m. June 5 and resulted in $2,400 in estimated damage.

Driving without license

Valentin Ramirez-Herrera, 33, of the 4100 block of South Albany Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and speeding at 4:37 p.m. June 7 at Ogden and Woodland avenues.

Domestic battery

Michael Gengo, 24, of the 1100 block of Birch Lane, was charged with domestic battery after pushing a male adult family member in his house at 11:44 p.m. June 6.

Consumption of alcohol by minors

Richard R. Rius, 19, of the 500 block of North Kensington Avenue in La Grange Park, and Caleb A. Tackes, 18, of the 400 block of South Madison Street in La Grange, were issued local ordinance citations after police observed them acting suspiciously at a public right-of-way. The officer confirmed that both men had consumed an alcoholic beverage.

Westchester

Aggravated battery to police officer

Andy Vargas, 28, of the 10300 block of Canterbury Street, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer after striking an officer who responded to a call at his house at 12:18 p.m. June 9. Canterbury also was charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest.

Purse stolen from office cubicle

A woman reported that someone stole her purse after she left it at her work cubicle between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. June 3 in the 2200 block of Enterprise Drive.

iPhone stolen from desk

An iPhone was stolen from the desk of a woman at Fresenius Medical Care about 4 p.m. June 3.

iPhone stolen from purse

A woman reported her iPhone was stolen from her purse, which she left in the break room of Jewel, 2128 Mannheim Road, at 8:14 p.m. June 5.
