Elmhurst group sings national anthem at Sox game

ELMHURST – Three local singing ensembles performed during a recent Chicago White Sox game.

Elmhurst's Spirito! includes the women's group Bravura, the Men of Spirito! and the young women's group called Ragazze. All 141 members gathered in center field to sing both "The Star Spangled Banner" and "O' Canada" for the visiting Toronto Blue Jays at U.S. Cellular Field last week.

In preparation for the performance, Spirito! sold a block of 852 spectator tickets to supporters. Spirito! also encouraged spectators to contribute to the Dan Gibbons Food Drive by dropping off donations at York High School before the game.
