Lisle Woman's Club readies for 'Garden Gait' Sunday

LISLE – Five private gardens will be on display during the Lisle Woman’s Club’s 11th annual "Garden Gait" Sunday.

The garden walk festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning at The Museums of Lisle Station Park, 921 School St.

Participants can savor tea and cookies in the Beaubien Tavern, one of the museums at the park, browse and buy at the garden necessities booths and purchase garden enhancing perennials.

Tickets are $15 ($17 on the day of the event) and are available at Anderson Bookshops, 123 W. Jefferson, Naperville, and 5112 Main St., Downers Grove, The Nook, 4738 Main St., Lisle, Weldon Hardware Supply, 4715 Main St., Lisle, Tina’s Closet, 4745 Main St., Wild Birds Unlimited, 1601 Ogden Ave., Lisle, and Country House Lisle, 6460 College Road, in College Square Center.

Garden Gait is the club’s principle fundraiser for a number of philanthropies, including awarding scholarships for local high school students, supplying food for needy families, and helping other causes locally, nationally, and internationally.

Garden Gait is presented with the cooperation of the village of Lisle and the Lisle Park District.
