ELMHURST – This month Elmhurst firefighters will be collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Elmhurst members of the International Association of Fire Fighters will collect donations in their boots to assist children and adults living with neuromuscular disease. In addition to research, clinical care and support services, money collected will be used to send kids to the Muscular Distrophy Association summer camp for a week.

On July 12, firefighters will be stationed on York Street at North Avenue, St. Charles Road, and Butterfield Road. Those wishing to make a donation are encouraged to stop by to contribute to the boot collection.
