Boy gets hand caught in Bolingbrook Macy's escalator, taken to hospital

BOLINGBROOK – A young boy was injured when his hand got caught in a Macy's escalator Wednesday night, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department

About 8 p.m. Wednesday, a 5-year-old boy was injured when his hand got stuck in the escalator at Macy's, located at the Promenade Bolingbrook, according to police.

The child was freed from the escalator before Bolingbrook police and fire crew arrived, Bolingbrook Police Lt. Michael Rompa said. He was then transported to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital to treat unspecified injuries, Rompa said.
