Reward offered for information about West Chicago sewer grate thefts

WEST CHICAGO – The West Chicago Police Department is working with the DuPage County Crime Stoppers to investigate storm sewer grate thefts that have occurred throughout the community.

Police previously issued a warning to residents about the thefts, asking them to report any suspicious activity. The largest concentration of thefts occurred in the Westgrove subdivision.

The DuPage County Crime Stoppers is offering as much as a $1,000 reward to anyone who assists authorities in the arrest and charging of the offender(s) responsible for these thefts.
