Published: Friday, July 19, 2013 4:19 p.m. CDT

LA GRANGE PARK – The village is taking applications for young residents interested in serving on the La Grange Park Youth Commission.

The group is comprised of ten people grades seven to 12 who serve one or two-year terms, starting in September.

The commission functions like other village committees that make recommendations to the Village Board, which considers the input of the ten Youth Commissioners.

Interested youth should fill out an application, available on the village's website, www.lagrangepark.org. Applications can be sent to the attention of Emily Rodman, assistant village manager, at erodman@lagrangepark.org, or faxed to 708-354-0241. With questions, contact Andrea Bagley at 708-354-0225.

Applications are due no later than Aug. 9.
