Hinsdale Police Department investigates residential burglary

HINSDALE – The Hinsdale Police Department investigated an incident of residential burglary that occurred between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 19 block of East Seventh Street.

Police said entry was made into the residence through a rear garage entry door. Various pieces of jewelry, silverware and a firearm were taken from bedrooms within the home.

The firearm was recovered abandoned in Clarendon Hills.

A witness reported three male subjects running from the area, entering into a black Kia Sorrento and leaving northbound on Garfield Street. The male subjects were described as being male whites with medium-toned skin, about 40 years of age.

Residents in the area who may have any video surveillance footage from a private residential camera in the area are encouraged to contact the Investigations Division at 630-789-7070.
