Donald L. Johnson, 19, of the 9100 block of S. Woodlawn Ave., was charged July 25 with one count of residential burglary.

LYONS – A Chicago man charged Thursday for a burglary in Lyons last January admitted to being part of a crew that was arrested in Brookfield a few months ago for a string of burglaries.

Donald L. Johnson, 19, of the 9100 block of S. Woodlawn Ave., was charged July 25 with one count of residential burglary after his fingerprints were lifted from inside a residence in the 8500 block of 45th Street in Lyons back in January of this year by Lyons police investigating a burglary.

Johnson was taken into custody by Lyons detectives early July 25 and he implicated himself in the Lyons burglary, police said, stating that he was also affiliated with a burglary crew that was arrested by Brookfield police a few months ago after a string of burglaries in Brookfield and Chicago.

Lyon police urge residents to report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
