Villa Park teen allegedly stabs peer, charged with aggravated battery

VILLA PARK – A 15-year-old Villa Park youth was charged with aggravated battery after allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old male during a fight last week.

Villa Park officers responded to reports of a fight involving teenagers at 7:10 p.m. July 21 near Yale Avenue and Ridge Road, according to a police report. When they arrived, they found a 17-year-old who told officers he had been stabbed during a fight with another teenager. He gave police a detailed description of his assailant before being transported to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for treatment.

Police searched the area and found the suspect in the 400 block of North Ardmore Avenue. The 15-year-old was charged with aggravated battery and transported to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center.
