Lombard District 44 prepares for registration, beginning of school year

LOMBARD – The first day of school for students in Lombard District 44 is Aug. 26, and in the coming weeks parents are reminded to register their children and visit schools to get organized.

All returning students must be registered before the beginning of the school year, and registration for students between Pre-K and fifth grade is available online at: www.sd44.org

Glen Westlake Middle School students must attend walk-in registration on Aug. 8 for eighth graders, Aug. 14 for seventh graders and Aug. 15 for sixth graders.

Between 12:45 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. Aug. 23, elementary students and their parents can visit schools to see their new classrooms and drop off school supplies.

Aug. 26 is the first day of school for students in first through eighth grades and for Early Childhood students. Kindergartners will attend in the mornings only Aug. 26 to 29, and have their first full day Aug. 30.
