Riverside Township offers help with property tax appeals

RIVERSIDE – Property owners in Riverside Township may file assessed valuation appeals with the Cook County Board of Review through Sept. 3, according to the Riverside Township Assessor.

The Riverside Township Assessor's Office is available to help taxpayers determine the best reason for filing an appeal and to find comparable properties.

During the appeal period, the office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment.

A seminar will be held at Riverside Township Hall, 27 Riverside Road, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The seminar will be led by Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak and Riverside Township Assessor Fran Sitkiewicz. Attendees should bring a copy of their most recent property tax bill.
