Published: Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013 2:33 p.m. CDT

WHEATON – The Friends Book Sale is accepting donations for its annual Wheaton Public Library fundraiser, according to a library news release.

Books, audiobooks, movies, CDs, video games and pieces of art are all acceptable donations for the event, which will take place Sept. 25 through 29. The sale is organized by the Friends of the Library group, which donates time and funds to the library, including the more than $27,000 raised at last year's fundraiser, according to the release.

There will be a special preview sale day on Sept. 25 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for members of Friends of the Library. The next day the fundraiser will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., followed by open admission during the same hours on Friday and Saturday.

The final day of the sale is Bargain Day and will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 29, during which time all items will be priced at 50 cents.

Sale donations are being accepted at the adult check out desk of the library. All items should be in a box or bag. For those who cannot bring donations to the library, pick ups can be arranged by calling 630-868-7592.
