VILLA PARK – Willowbrook has just five returners from a team that won just four games last season, so a learning curve is expected for the Warriors.

The Warriors dropped the first five matches of the season and only scored one goal in doing so.

The young roster features just four seniors: Defenders Dylan Jones and Dan Torres, midfielder Rokas Dubinas and forward Jonathan Cruz. Five sophomores and freshman forward Ricardo Santillan join the squad hoping to push for playing time.

On the upside, three of the returners are on defense, with Jones, Torres and junior Anthony Pieroni fortifying the back line. That trio will have to lead the Warriors, which plan to utilize a 4-2-3-1 formation, from the back.

Aaron Johnson scored Willowbrook's only goal of the season so far in a 2-1 loss to Illiana Christian on Sept. 3. Johnson is a sophomore midfielder that will push into the attack. Sophomore midfielder Lucas Betts should also factor into the offensive action for Willowbrook.

Santillan and junior returner Mike Rogalski will hope to form a dangerous tandem in Willowbrook's attack.
