September marks the end of summer and the beginning of school, but that’s not all – September also is National Library Card Sign-up Month!

Your Berwyn Public Library card is your passport to a world of information. With a library card, you are able to check out books, movies, CDs, e-books and even museum passes. You also are able to use your Berwyn Public Library card at other libraries to check out or reserve their material, as well.

The library offers several other services, in addition to checking out many items. You are able to fax, copy, scan and notarize documents. A library card will grant you access into our databases to assist with research as well as job searching. You can sign up to use computers or reserve a room to study. The library offers classes that include GED, ESL, citizenship and computer classes held on a weekly basis. In addition to the regular services, the library also has personal pursuits and enrichment programming for all ages. The Berwyn Public Library makes it a point to have something for everyone.

All you need to do is visit the Berwyn Public Library with your current ID and any first class mail that has been sent to you within the past 30 days. We will ask you to fill out an application and we do the rest.  No mail? No worries! We can mail you your library card with just your ID.

If checking out books and much, much more isn’t enticing enough, you actually can win a prize for using your library card!

During September when you sign up, renew or even just use your library card, you will be entered into a free raffle drawing.

Come in and let us show you why your library card is the smartest card in your wallet!
