Village of Woodridge obtains $1.4 million in capital grant awards

WOODRIDGE – The Village of Woodridge has received about $1.4 million in capital grant awards.

This grants will lower the local tax dollars needed to fund capital projects and in turn maximize the impact of residents' tax dollars, according to officials.

At this point, the village has submitted six applications for roadway resurfacing projects that would cost about $2 million.

Currently, the grants are proposed to partially fund these projects and or traffic signal modernization projects. The village said a decision on which community project will receive these funds will be made by early winter.
