LEMONT – Citgo has isolated the section of its crude unit damaged during an Oct. 23 fire and plans to restart the rest of the unit at reduced rates by the end of next week, according to a Citgo news release.

The fire was limited to the vacuum distillation section of the crude unit, which has no timetable for repairs, the release said.

The fire resulted in the immediate shutdown of the site as local fire departments brought the blaze under control. There were no injuries.
