LA GRANGE – Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital recently received recognition from two national healthcare evaluators.

The hospital earned an "A" grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit that gives hospitals scores based on the levels of infections, injuries and medical and medication errors that occur. Of the 2,539 hospitals issued a score, La Grange Hospital was one of 813 to earn the highest grade.

Another nonprofit, The Joint Commission, named La Grange Hospital a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures, with specific recognition of the hospital's heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. The commission accredits and certifies healthcare organizations in the U.S.
