Westmont community celebrates Veterans Day

WESTMONT – Community members, veterans and village officials joined together for a Veterans Day Ceremony Monday.

The local American Legion Post 388 and the Westmont Park District hosted the ceremony at at Ty Warner Park.

Mayor Ron Gunter, who's worked with this ceremony for many years, said this was the first time he's spoken at the event.

"I am very honored and it is my privilege to thank and recognize our veterans," Gunter said.
