Published: Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 2:00 p.m. CDT

The DuPage Convalescent Center is collecting donations for its 2013 "Adopt-a-Resident" gift drive, according to a DuPage County news release.

Those interested will receive a copy of a resident's "wish list," including items such as personal care products, gift cards and clothing totalling about $50. Wish list items will be collected through Dec. 16 to be distributed at the center's annual holiday party Dec. 22.

Community members can also donate to the general wish list, the center holiday fund or create handmade holiday cards or crafts.

For more information about adopting a resident or participating at the Convalescent Center in other ways, visit, email or call 630-784-4260.
