Student council members at Unity, Havlicek schools make the holiday's bright

Seventh and eighth grade students in Student Council at Unity Junior High School in Cicero went shopping over the weekend with money raised from several fundraisers held at the school since the beginning of the year.

Students in Berwyn and Cicero schools worked hard this past weekend to make the holidays brighter for those in need this season.

Seventh and eighth grade students in Student Council at Unity Junior High School in Cicero went shopping over the weekend with money raised from several fundraisers held at the school since the beginning of the year. The students purchased $1,200 worth of gifts that will be donated to the town of Cicero Toy Drive, which benefits children whose parents would have a hard time affording toys this holiday season.

Members of the Havlicek School Student Council worked with Berwyn Township this weekend to collect and donate food for those in need this holiday season. Student Council members are comprised of fifth grade students from Havlicek who are involved in various community learning programs to give back to the community.
