DId you get an eReader or tablet as a present?

Do you want to learn how to do animation or make your own TV show? How about learning more about your family’s past? Maybe it’s finally time to learn how to knit and crochet? Soon it will be the New Year, and what better way to start it then by learning something new right here at the Fountaindale Public Library District.

In January we will have a great variety of classes for you in Studio 300.

Stop motion animation classes will be available for different ages on Saturdays in January (please check out website for specific dates and times).

You can learn how to make your own TV show on Jan. 28 using the library’s Tricaster equipment. Did you get a copy of Photoshop with your new computer? If so, you can learn how to use Photoshop in Photoshop 101 on Jan. 15.

On the non-techie side, the Genealogy Club will be meeting on Jan. 8 to talk about “They’re Alive: Searching for Living Persons.”

Have you been telling yourself for years that you should learn to knit or crochet? We have an opportunity for you on Jan. 11-12 with our Knitting and Crochet Bootcamp.

Tweens (grades four through six) can have a blast at the library in January, too.

We have Popsicle Stick Wall Art on Jan. 11 and Sand Vial Necklaces and Keychains on Jan. 16.  On Monday, Jan. 20, we have Family and Tween Gaming featuring both video games and Lego blocks.

Our Winter Session Storytimes begin the week of Jan. 19.  Please check our online calendar via our website at www.fountaindale.org to see all the great varieties of Storytime that we offer.

We also have Preschool Activity Time, Young Writers’ Club and Let’s Create, which is an opportunity to design and make something to take home and keep.

We have a great variety of things to do and things you can learn for all ages at the library, and we hope to see you here in the New Year!
