Hinsdale Middle School students head for buses on Jan. 23, after the first day of a split schedule at Clarendon Hills Middle School.

HINSDALE – The wait is almost over as Hinsdale Middle School students are expected to conclude the split schedule routine with Clarendon Hills Middle School on Monday and return to their own school Tuesday.

Following the school's closing for mold eradication, students are scheduled to return to Hinsdale at the usual time Tuesday, according to a notice from District 181.

Prior to students returning, an open house is confirmed from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday. Any interested community members are invited to attend and take a guided tour, according to the notice.

On Sunday, Hinsdale Middle School staff members were in the building organizing their classrooms, and the buildings and grounds crew were on hand to assist as materials were moved back into place.

An inspection by architects and Regional Office of Education is scheduled for Monday afternoon, and the district's phone consultant will be on hand Monday to verify that telephones are properly reconnected, according to the notice.
