State Sen. Tom Cullerton (left), D-Villa Park, on Feb. 7 speaks with Addison Trail seniors Jose Cobos (center) and Leonardo Flores about an online simulation program called The Stock Market Game.

THUMBS UP: The smart money is on these Addison Trail High School students. The Stock Market Game administered by Econ Illinois aims to help students learn financial literacy. About 70 econmic students at Addison Trail are participating in the 15-week competition that started earlier this month.

THUMBS DOWN: A threatening email to leaders at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison prompted the school to cancel classes Feb. 10. The email suggested there would be several explosions set off at unspecified locations throughout the day. The good news is all of the DeVry Education Group's Chicago-area campuses were inspected and nothing was found.
