St. Francis blood drive nets more than 100 units

WHEATON – The St. Francis High School community donated 103 units of blood during its annual drive Feb. 25, in which 131 volunteers participated, according to a school news release.

The event was planned by Business Department Chair Mike Lynch, school nurse Donna Hoscheit, a student group and the Heartland Blood Bank center.

Student donors were required to be 16 years or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and have their parents' permission.
