Elmhurst College to host scholarship fundraiser

ELMHURST – The Fifth Annual Evening for Scholarships will be held this month at Elmhurst College.

The event is devoted solely to raising money for scholarships. Last year, 96 percent of students enrolled at Elmhurst College received some form of financial aid. The 2013 event raise $300,000.

CBS 2 news anchor Rob Johnson will serve as the emcee, and the night’s festivities will include a live auction and Fund a Scholarship opportunities led by auctioneer Keith Jones of Sayre & Jones Auctioneers. This year’s auction will feature a variety of experiences, including a vacation; sports tickets to the Blackhawks, Bears, Sox, Cubs and Fire; a dining experience for six with a private, in-home chef; a photo session with Elmhurst College alumnus Andre Lacour and more.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. March 15 in the Frick Center of Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.
