OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook Police Department announced Tuesday it will be conducting special patrols this St. Patrick's Day to crack down on drunk drivers.

From March 13 through 17, Oak Brook police officers will be “aggressively” looking for drunk drivers during the crackdown. In addition, front and back seat belt law violators will be ticketed, according to a news release from the Oak Brook Police Department.

The St. Patrick's Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Crackdown is funded by federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety, according to the release.
