LAKE VILLA – Cub Scouts between the ages of 6 and 11 raced wooden cars downhill during a Cubmobile event at 9 a.m. May 3 at Caboose park in Lake Villa. The scouts designed the cars using seat belts, wood and wheels.The sloped track was lined on both sides with rows of bails of hay. A wooden ramp starting point was at the top of the hill. All competitors were required to were a helmet.The North East Illinois Council, North Star District of the Boy Scout's of America hosted the annual Cubmobile event. Hundreds of Cub Scouts from all over the western part of Lake County participated.For information, call 847-748-9160.
