COUNTRYSIDE – School District 105 will offer an early childhood screening later this month for La Grange, Hodgkins and Countryside residents.

The screening will be for children between 3 and 5 years old from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 22 at Ideal Elementary School, 9901 West 58th St.

Each screening – which helps identify students who may qualify for free district preschool programs or who would benefit from additional services – will last for about one hour and parents are required to schedule an appointment.

Children's development will be tested in areas including large and fine motor skills, speech and language, pre-academic readiness, along with vision and hearing.

Appointments can be made by calling 708-482-2760.
