Elmhurst foundation to host annual golf fundraiser

ELMHURST – Registration is open for One Small Voice Foundation's 14th annual Golf Outing.

The Elmhurst-based foundation supports research for hydrocephalus, which is when an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid occurs inside brain cavities, and optic nerve hypoplasia, the leading cause of blindness or vision impairment in children, according to a foundation news release.

Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit Lurie Children's Hospital. The foundation also raises supports Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Registration costs $75 for nine holes of golf and a buffet dinner. Tee times begin at 4:30 p.m. June 27 at Sugar Creek Golf Course, 500 E. Van Buren St., Villa Park.

Other activities include a putting contest, longest drive contest, sports memorabilia, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
