BOLINGBROOK – A parachutist survived unharmed Sunday when his chute failed to open.

Police Lt. Mike Rompa said the flight was part of the “Cavalcade of Planes” being held at Clow Airport.

The jumper landed around 2:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Buli Lane, Bolingbrook, according to reports.

“His chute did not open properly but he is fine and signed a release [waiving] medical attention,” Rompa said.
