Fire department issues reminder about open burning, ground fires

VILLA PARK – The Villa Park Fire Department is reminding residents this summer that the burning of yard waste debris, as well as the use of fire pits and other ground fires, is strictly prohibited in the village.

According to village code, open burning is prohibited except with expressed written permission of the code official or his designate. Additionally, fire pits, fire rings and other fires on the ground are prohibited.
