Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports

• Nicholas James Kavalauskas, 36, of the 6500 block of Greeley Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, was charged Tuesday, May 27, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent, driving without insurance and failure to dim headlights after a traffic stop in Geneva Township.

• Beverli J. Carlton, 50, of the 6N800 block of Watseka Avenue, St. Charles, was charged Tuesday, June 3, with battery.

• A motorist reported Saturday, May 31, that her driver's side rear window shattered as she was driving on Route 25 south of Red Gate Road. Damage to the Porsche SUV was estimated at $1,000. She believed a rock might have been kicked up by a person trimming a yard nearby, but the homeowner didn't think that was possible, police reported.
