Local police, fire and EMS department staff and family members, including Elmhurst Firefighter Dan Focht, enjoy a game of dodgeball June 9 at Sky Zone's Give Back Night hosted by former police officer and Sky Zone owner Paul Lushin to show his appreciation for public safety officials.

THUMBS UP: It was fun to see Elmhurst public safety officials out of uniform and having fun with friends and family last week. Sky Zone in Elmhurst brought together police officers, firefighters and paramedics June 9 for a free night of trampoline jumping and dodgeball during Give Back Night.

THUMBS UP: Asparagus, strawberries, squash – it's all in season right now at the Elmhurst Farmers Market. The market's return brings a summer favorite back to the northeast corner of York and Vallette streets. Nearly 30 vendors, including 10 farmers, offer everything from fresh produce to organic veggie burgers and treats from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday through October. Enjoy
