St. Charles police reports

• David W. Portschy, 45, of the 25W600 block of Red Maple Lane, Wheaton, was charged Friday, June 27, with driving without insurance and received a warning for using a cellphone while driving. He also was arrested on a Kane County warrant.

• Irene M. Fairbanks, 60, of the 1800 block of Windward Lane, Hanover Park, was charged Saturday, June 28, with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper passing on the shoulder.

• Louise B. Bauer, 47, of the 1300 block of Georgetown Drive, Batavia, was charged Saturday, June 28, with animal cruelty for reportedly leaving a dog in a vehicle at Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, St. Charles. Temperatures were in the mid- to high 80s, police reported.

• Nick Thomas Kaleel, 58, of the 500 block of Pin Oak Court, St. Charles, was charged Saturday, June 28, with two counts of domestic battery.

• Anthony Daniel Capozziello, 23, of the 900 block of South Avenue, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, June 29, with battery and simple assault.

• Jennifer R. Valenti, 47, of the 2100 block of Orchard Lane, Carpentersville, was charged Sunday, June 29, with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use.

• Stacey Ann Taylor, 35, of the 2900 block of Pleasant Plains Drive, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, June 29, with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use.

• Mark F. Kalina, 59, of the 1800 block of Shoreline Drive, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, June 29, with driving under the influence of alcohol following an accident in the 1900 block of Shoreline Drive, St. Charles. He reportedly drove off the edge of a residential driveway and was treated at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

• Nathaniel Coleman Huey, 23, of the 1400 block of Indiana Street, St. Charles, was charged Monday, June 30, with driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired registration. He also was arrested on a Kane County warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving under the influence.
