Glen Ellyn man awarded for volunteerism in Scouting

Glen Ellyn resident Pat Kronenwetter (second from left) receives the Boy Scouts’ highest volunteer service award, the Silver Beaver Award, on June 19 at the Three Fires Council Annual Recognition Dinner at Hotel Arista at CityGate Center in Naperville.

Kronenwetter’s volunteer achievements include serving on the Council Board of Directors and as a Scout leader for West Chicago-chartered Cub Scout Packs 1 and 2 and Glen Ellyn-chartered Boy Scout Troop 352 and Venturing Crew 352.

Kronenwetter and his son are both Eagle Scouts.
