Geneva police reports

• Four mailboxes and posts were reported damaged Wednesday, June 25, three in the 300 block of Colonial Circle and one in the 2100 block of Sheffield Lane. The Colonial Circle mailboxes ranged in value from $250 to $200, and the Sheffield Lane mailbox was valued at $50.

• Meggen M. Mack, 46, of the 100 block of Aberdeen Court, Geneva, was charged Saturday, June 21, with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent and improper lane use.

• Two cars parked in the 0-50 block of Briar Lane were reported damaged Thursday, June 26. According to police reports, the rear window of a 2001 Infiniti QX4 was shattered, causing about $630 in damage. Also, the trunk of a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant was damaged with repairs estimated at $405.

• John J. Honey, 57, of the 400 block of Illinois Street, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, June 22, with public intoxication and going around the railroad crossing gate while a train was approaching. 

• Angela C. Kopija, 49, of the 500 block of Kingston Drive, Geneva, was charged Saturday, June 21, with driving under the influence, improper use of a horn and failure to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.

• Two cars were reported vandalized Thursday, June 19, while both were parked in the 1000 block of Commons Drive. A 2013 silver Nissan Sentra belonging to Lichtenberger Development Corporation was reported to have two scratches 8-feet long across the driver’s side doors. The other vehicle, a 2012 blue Volkswagon Touareg, was reported to have an 18-inch scratch on the driver’s side doors. A third car was similarly damaged Tuesday, June 15, with a scratch on the driver’s side door costing $800.

• A 2013 Chrysler 200 was reported to have $7,500 in damage on Saturday, June 21, while it was parked in the 300 block of Cheever Avenue. The rear window and passenger side windows were damaged, as were all four tires and the exterior body.

• A bike valued at $100 was reported stolen Tuesday, June 17 from the front yard of a house in the 1000 block of Geneva Drive.

• Leutrim Imeri, 19, of the 1900 block of South Ninth Street, Mattoon, was charged Tuesday, June 19, with underage drinking and unlawful use of an identification card to buy alcohol. According to police reports, Imeri was using an ID showing his birth date to be in March 1991 – 23 years old – when his true birthday is in July 1994.
