West Chicago police to host 1st bike show to benefit Special Olympics

WEST CHICAGO – West Chicago FOP Lodge 85, Hawthorne's Backyard and Fox River Harley-Davidson are partnering to host the first annual Bike Show and Pig Roast to benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 at Hawthorne's Backyard, 1200 W. Hawthorne Lane in West Chicago.

The show is open to motorcycles of all makes and models. The bikes will be divided into different classes, and the top bike in each class will receive a trophy. One motorcycle will be awarded Overall Top Bike.

Fox River Harley-Davidson will have a number of custom bikes on display as well.

The $25 registration fee includes lunch and two raffle tickets.

All proceeds will benefit the torch run.

Registration opens at 10 a.m., and judging will begin at 1 p.m. Awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.
