BOLINGBROOK – Police apprehended one man inside of the Bass Pro Shops store and another outside in the parking lot after responding to a burglar alarm at 1:54 a.m. Tuesday.

Rifles and shotguns were scattered throughout the store, which was surrounded before the man inside was captured, according to a news release from Bolingbrook police.

The two people taken into custody were Anthony S. McKee, 25, and Thomas J. Youngren, 20. Both are from Frankfort.

Police said they arrived at the store to see someone running around inside. The person inside began breaking store windows as police surrounded the building. He then went into the interior of the building.

Police said they made an “extensive search” of the store before the K-9 Unit found McKee in a storage room. Outside of the store, Youngren was found in a gray Dodge pickup.

McKee, of the 20200 block of Rosewood Court, was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being booked into the Will County Jail on charges of burglary and obstructing a police officer. Youngren, of the 7900 block of Carrie Court, was charged with burglary.

In February, McKee pleaded guilty to a 2011 charge of delivery of drugs and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 2½ years of probation, according to court records. He was previously sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to delivery of marijuana in a 2008 case.

Jail records indicate Youngren was arrested in December on a misdemeanor charge of carrying a firearm in public.
