Several arrests follow Plainfield shooting

PLAINFIELD – Two adults and two juveniles face charges after a wanted man was shot during an argument Monday.

Sgt. Mike Fisher said in a news release the disturbance occurred about 10:45 a.m. in the 24700 block of George Washington Drive and resulted in the Patriot Square subdivision being barricaded for three hours.

Jeffrey S. Walsh, 23, who resides there, was allegedly shot in the leg by a juvenile during the fight, according to police. Walsh was treated for injuries at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora and booked into the Will County Jail on an outstanding warrant for battery.

One juvenile was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and delivery of marijuana. Fisher said that youth also was linked to a robbery that occurred several hours earlier.

Another juvenile was arrested on a charge of battery. Both were booked into the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center. Police did not provide the ages of the suspects.

Raymond M. Villa, 22, of the 12900 block of Stellar Lane, was arrested on a battery charge. Amber K. Humphrey, 20, of the 3000 block of Woodside Drive in Joliet, was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession. Villa and Humphrey were both released on bond.
