LISLE – The Lisle Community Band will play free concerts through July at the Lisle Park District Community Center, 1825 Short St.

The band is a nonprofit group that offers adults an opportunity to play instruments, while bringing fine arts to the village, said Director Steven Green.

Band members range in age from high school students to retirees, and vary in skill level. This year, the band has 76 members.

Concerts are at 7:30 p.m. July 17 and 24. The Jazz Band, a component of the Lisle Community Band, will also perform at 7:30 p.m. July 31.

Green said the band plays a wide variety of music that provides "a little bit of something for everybody at each concert."

No tryout is required to join the band. For more information, visit www.lislecommunityband.org
