Downers Grove Public Library offers new book club

DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove Public Library is offering a new book club for readers in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

"Unbound" monthly activities include items in addition to book discussions. Several local businesses including Ballydoyle Irish Pub, Spice Merchants, Fair Game, Glazed Expressions and Olive Tap have already joined to help host dinner, drinks, discussion, tastings and games.

The next outing is at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and will feature a free pottery painting at Glazed Expressions, 1010 Curtiss St.

The studio is BYOB.

The library will provide snacks, music and select pottery pieces to paint.
