GLEN ELLYN – A Glen Ellyn man is charged after allegedly grabbing a 15-year-old girl and trying to pull her into nearby bushes Tuesday in Oak Park.

Damian Skoczylas, 21, faces charges of child abduction and unlawful restraint, both of which are felonies, according to Oak Park Police Department Investigations Cmdr. LaDon Reynolds.

Skoczylas allegedly followed the girl to the intersection of Ridgeland Avenue and Adams Street, trying to proposition her and saying things such as, "Come on, you know you want to give me a show," Reynolds said.

He then "forcibly grabbed" the girl by the right wrist, according to Reynolds, attempting to drag her into Longfellow Park.

She screamed and eventually Skoczylas let her go, Reynolds said. The girl flagged down a pedestrian, who called police.

Skoczylas was taken to the Cook County Jail.
