Elburn police reports

• Juan M. Capuchino, 24, of the 100 block of Fairwood Court, Elgin, was arrested Friday, Aug. 8, on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of non-parental false imprisonment of a minor. Elburn police also cited Capuchino for speeding, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license.

• Michelle Lynne Wagenknecht, 41, of the 900 block of Liberty Drive, Elburn, was arrested Friday, Aug. 8, on an Elburn warrant for failure to appear in court on a speeding charge. 

• Jesse Paul Gallois, 24, of the 0N500 block of East Weaver Circle, Blackberry Township, was charged Sunday, Aug. 17, with driving under the influence, having a blood-alcohol level of more than 0.08 percent and speeding more than 25 but less than 35 miles an hour over the speed limit. According to reports, Gallois was driving 89 miles an hour in a 55-mph zone at 4:41 a.m. on Route 38 east of Anderson Road and his blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.168 percent.

• An 87-year-old man who lives in the 300 block of Willow Street reported an attempt to defraud him on Wednesday, July 23. According to reports, he answered the phone, and a man claiming to be his grandson said he had an accident and needed $2,500. The resident questioned the caller’s identity, to which the caller stated an expletive and hung up. The Elburn resident told police he provided no personal information nor money to the caller.
